Fine Art for Parents & Child. Four Tuesdays 10-11:30am Feb. 26th - March 18th. This class is for YOU Parents! Come paint, learn to paint or just play in paint with you child. I am an art teacher and a mother of a 3 year old. Bring your child between 2-4yrs old. I have a play/art area set up in my in-home Art Studio. I will be giving art instruction to both parents and children. This is a great class if your already an artist and just need the time, space and creative environment to create. I only have room for three parents and three children. I will also have materials set up for the children. Each parent is in charge of their own child so please know if this is something your child would enjoy as much as you. All levels of artist are encouraged. Four Classes $55. Some materials included. Our Winter Masquerade Event is February 29, 2008 at the Fairgrounds from 7pm 11pm
The Northern Sierra Wine Country Association is proudly producing the 3rd Annual Winter Masquerade Event. Tickets are $80 per person and are available at any local winery and will be able to be purchased on the Association website after the first of the year. The event will be held at the Amaral Family Festival Center at the Nevada county fairgrounds - 11228 McCourtney Road, Grass Valley. Bourbon Street" happening - right out of New Orleans. There will be continuous music (dance band and DJ) as well as continuous wine tasting until 10pm and then we open the coffee/cappuccino bar. A minimum of 16 restaurants will be serving food every attendee will be given "gold doubloons" to cover their 10 servings. We will be having the normal beads, masques, etc. and some very special entertainment that will be available for added fun! Memento Photos if youre interested and of course the Masque and or costume contest - just a fun way to bring a Mardi Gras celebration to Nevada County. A great way to spend a Friday night in February - buy your tickets early as we sold out last year.

Northern Sierra Food Wine Music Celebration.
The Foothills Celebration has become a very popular wine and food tasting event in Northern California. Leisurely stroll through shops, tasting rooms and restaurants hosting award winning Northern Sierra wineries and gourmet restaurants from Grass Valley and Nevada City. Experience the quaint architecture of Grass Valleys boutiques, galleries, and wine tasting rooms while enjoying the sounds of music at various venues. Northern Sierra 2007 wineries included Avanguardia Wines, Burch Hall Winery, Double Oak Winery, Indian Springs, Iron Mountain Vineyards, Lucchesi Vineyards, Naggiar Vineyards, Nevada City Winery, Pilot Peak, Sierra Knolls Vineyards, Sierra Star Vineyards, Smith Vineyards and Solune Winegrowers. Wineries and restaurant locations are clearly marked by signs and colorful balloons. This fund raiser benefits the Sierra Nevada Winery Association, Downtown Grass Valley Association and Music in the Mountains.
