Cornish Christmas. Recapture the spirit of Christmas past amid the charming surroundings of historic downtown Grass Valley, California during the annual Cornish Christmas Celebration. Mill and W. Main Streets are closed to motorized traffic and filled with the sights and sounds of an old fashioned Christmas; carolers, jugglers, musicians, the Grass Valley Cornish Carol Choir, Tommyknocker Cloggers and, of course, Santa Claus. Handmade arts and craft from artists throughout California are displayed on the streets. Delicious food and drink can be purchased from a number of restaurants and specialty food. New Riders of the Purple Sage. The dance floor of the Auburn Event Center will be getting a workout for sure as original members David Nelson and Buddy Cage lead this incredible band as they journey into the Sierra Foothills.
The fun will happen this Thanksgiving Weekend, on Saturday November 27th 2010. Auburn Event Center, 145 Elm Ave, Auburn CA 95603. The Bob Woods Band will be kickin’ off the fun & this may be their CD Release Party if all goes as planned. Any who have seen Bob play will know not to show late! 6:30 Doors / 7:00 Show.
This will be an all ages event, but please bring an ID if you want one of those infamous “adult beverages”! Tix are $20.00 in Advance & $25.00 at the door, but don’t count on door tickets! Tickets are at all area Dimple Records Cherry Records, Tribal Weaver & Liquor Outlet in Auburn & The Briar Patch Co-Op in Grass Valley / Nevada City.
