Docent Program
Applications are now being accepted for the Spring Docent Training Classes at South Yuba River State Park, to be held at the Bridgeport Visitor Center.

Come and enjoy courses in wildlife biology, archeology, local history, visitor center operation, natural history and more. This is your opportunity to learn about wildlife photography, bird and wildflower identification, gold panning, as well as trail patrolling and visitor information stations.
Volunteers work at Bridgeport or at the old Highway 49 Bridge, research history, be a part of the oral history program or participate in "Living History" presentations such as "The Ghosts of Bridgeport".
Classes begin in March and conclude in late May. After receipt of your application, the Ranger in charge of the program will contact you for a pre-class interview.
